Background Information before Applying:

The Captain

Sailed most of my life in Scandinavian waters. After a busy working life and an early retirement, I decided to cruise the high seas, and to make a circumnavigation. I enjoy the cruising life and want to explore much more in the Pacific before I continue / complete the circumnavigation.

The Cruising Plan

Cruising in 2013 along the Pacific Mexican coast and other Latin American states during the northern winter. Later cruising the Pacific South America and departing (time and year is not yet decided) from Chile for crossing the Pacific to New Zealand. Later it is the intention to explore Asia and Japan.

The sailing history can be seen on this web site.

The Boat

Modern and comfortable “one off” performance cruiser with all navigational and safety equipment, built for circumnavigation as well as sailing in all latitudes. Four watertight compartments. Pilot house for sheltered sailing. Large cockpit. Three large cabins (one for each crew member) and 2 bathrooms with separate shower cabins. Large practical galley with freezer, fridge, washing machine, and micro wave oven. Walk- in engine room. Diesel generator, water maker, hydraulic bow thruster, hydraulic anchor winch, and electrical winches. The boat is built with easy maintenance in mind.

Everything built for shorthanded and easy handling and to the highest standards. Makes on average 200 Nm/day during passages. The boat is designed and built to the owners specification, delivered from the shipyard May 2006, and is well equipped and maintained.

The owner / captain is fit, and as well as the boat in good health and shape, and well maintained.

Ocean passages will be made fast, efficient, and in comfort and safety by using the speed potential of the boat. Be prepared for relaxed cruising using the boat as an adventure platform.

What do we / I expect of the crew on board this boat?

Healthy physically and mentally, agile, and fit, no nonsense person with good spirit and humor, and as a minimum with enough sailing experience to understand and know how to perform and work on a boat, and a person who normally do not get seasick.

Willing to work in a team, learn even when the going occasionally gets tough, and actively participate in doing all the different jobs onboard including cleaning and cooking. Non smokers are preferred.

The preferred total crew size is 3 persons.

We eat good, fairly simple, and healthy food, mainly seafood, with many vegetables and fruits.
