Canada, British Columbia (2012)

Canada, British Columbia

The port of entry to Canada was Prince Rupert, where Dana Felicia was checked – in by the friendly Canadian Customs.
Unfortunately unfavourable weather prevented us from going to the Queen Charlotte Islands, and therefore due to lack of wind we continued our motoring south through the inside passage. It is very important to make use of the current or at least not try to go too much against it, because it can be quite strong. We experienced a current of 9 – 10 knots in the Seymour Narrows.

The weather became gradually warmer which was very welcomed. The summer temperatures felt good after the Alaska weather, and we enjoyed meeting many friendly Canadians and visiting their Gulf Islands, the towns of Nanaimo, Sidney, Victoria (capitol), and Vancouver which became the last stop in Canada.
