Aitutaki, Cook Islands.
Aitutaki is a typical atoll with a beautiful lagoon, but the entrance is not deep enough to enter, so we had to stay outside in the swell. The atoll itself is like the atolls we have seen in the Tuamotus; however it is different because the buildings and lifestyle clearly shows the connection to New Zealand.
Pacific passage, Aitutaki to Niue.
The passage of 605 Nm took us 4 days and was again made in very light easterly winds. We saw no ships and did not catch any fish.
