Samoa 2 (2014)

Samoa – 2

We sailed to Samoa in light E – SE winds of 12 – 15 kts, and the passage of 522 Nm took 3 days plus one lost day passing the Date Line. We motored 8 hours. Samoa has “moved East” of the dateline since I visited last time.

The Apia skyline has changed; especially the new built Cathedral makes a big difference.

The marina has been damaged during a storm, and only half of it is in operation, so anchoring is again allowed in the bay. Otherwise everything was pretty much as in 2009 and we enjoyed the beautiful island and kind hospitality extended to us.
